Hello everybody, and welcome to this blog about Namibia.

Let me share with you in a little plane trip we did with some friends, for a Sunday lunch.

In Namibia, distances are long (Namibia is about 1.5 times bigger than France) and it takes a long time driving from one region to another.

Besides the international airport of Windhoek & Walvis Bay, there are many airfields dotted around the country with a few private commercial companies from which you can charter a plane for the day, or even book a seat for a set tour. There are also tourists doing flying safaris where they hop from one lodge to another to discover Namibia in a shorter amount of time.

We flew inland to Solitaire, had lunch in Rostock Ritz and came back to Swkopmund airport via the coast.
