Jacques & Marie-Josephe Manlay – A magnificent holiday, at our pace.

We asked Murielle a varied program for 13 days, with an emphasis on landscapes, experiencing the country’s present life and history, and visiting a reserve.

Warm welcome from Murielle at Walvis Bay Airport. She gave us a very useful and detailed schedule and maps, the 4×4 keys with the destinations pre-programmed on the GPS. A real adventure for Seniors!:-).

On the first day, kayaking in the middle of the seals and riding on the dunes to Sandwich Harbour, gave us a taster for the rest of the adventure!

Then, the great open spaces and the feeling of freedom were ours to discover on the gravel roads and ; in the evening, comfortable lodges, full of charm, with a subtle flavour of adventure, welcomed us.

At each step of the journey, the welcoming was perfect and attentionate ; celebrating the sunsets around a drink and elegantly dressed tables with snacks ; fabulous sunrises, safaris, picnics, etc. and the guides who sometimes accompanied us, were perfect.

From Luderitz, we rejoined Fish River Canyon in a private plane with Murielle, unforgettable trip back to Swakopmund, flying over the Canyon, the Orange River, some zinc mines, and also alongside the Coast, without forgetting to mention our stop for lunch at Wolwedans, a lodge lost in the orange sand, an exquisite, magical and timeless experience.

In summary, it was a magnificient trip, giving us great freedom to discover and visit Namibia at our pace, knowing that Murielle’s “hotline” was there. She knows the country and its people very well and is capable of tackling any challenges.
